The sport-themed Kia Picanto GT-Line has been verified for an Australian start in the coming months, established to sit atop the micro automobile selection domestically.
Although pricing is yet to be launched, the GT-Line will in essence mirror the specification of the restricted-operate AO Edition launched in January, indicating a system kit, twin exhaust recommendations, 16-inch alloy wheels, projector headlights with LED daytime-operating lights, LED tail-lights, ‘premium’ leather-look/fabric seats with red accents, and alloy athletics pedals are aspect of the deal.
That is on major of the entry-level ‘S’ variant’s autonomous crisis braking with ahead collision warning, rear-perspective digicam with rear parking sensors, automatic headlights, 7.-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Automobile, bluetooth cellular phone and audio streaming, USB and AUX inputs, together with a multifunction steering wheel.
Getting a “GT-Line’ and not a ‘GT’, the leading-spec Picanto will be powered by the same 1.2-litre obviously-aspirated inline 4 as the regular car, with outputs of 62kW (at 6000rpm) and 122Nm (at 4000rpm).
It’s unclear whether the GT-Line will be supplied locally in both equally handbook and automatic variations, but going by the AO Version it will very likely be available entirely with the four-speed self-shifter.
