CarAdvice on YourMoney, 24 October 2018: What’s on this week’s show?

“CarAdvice” airs every Wednesday at 8.30pm on free-to-air channel 95 and Foxtel channel 601.

On this week’s episode of CarAdvice, Paul Maric and Trent Nikolic talk Toyota’s new sports car, Nissan’s special new ute concept, warranties and your rights, and much more.

In the news, Toyota’s legendary Supra is set to return in 2019, and we already known so much. Like, the fact that it’s basically a BMW.

Nissan has an extra-hot new design for its Navara ute, the Dark Sky – but, for now, it’s only a show car. Here’s hoping we see this sharp new concept leap to production someday…

The EV future is nearing, and at least one brand is confident we’ll see the government get behind the revolution. (And, cough cough, since we recorded tonight’s episode, there’s been a $15 million investment in charging infrastructure!)

The boy also go deep into the topic of warranties: Some are three years, more are five years now, and one brand is even doing seven years. What’s good enough these days? We also take a look at the Australian Consumer Law and your rights.

Lastly, we take a look at an age-old question that has been eating away at new-car buyers for thousands of years: When I’m buying a track car, should I choose something like the focused Lotus Elise, or an all-rounder like the muscly Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk?

“CarAdvice” airs every Wednesday at 8.30pm on free-to-air channel 95 and Foxtel channel 601.
