2019 Lexus UX pricing and specs

Lexus is getting aggressive with its new baby crossover, which starts arriving later this month.

Lexus Australia has announced pricing and specs for its long-awaited compact crossover, the UX, ahead of its arrival in local showrooms.

The range will start at $44,450 before on-road costs for the UX200 Luxury, and runs to $61,450 for the range-topping UX250h AWD F Sport.

Power in the UX200 comes from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine making 127kW, put to the front wheels through a continuously-variable transmission. The UX250h 2WD offers 131kW and adds $3500 to the base UX200 price, while all-wheel drive is another $4500. Only the Sport Luxury and F Sport 250h will be offered with all-wheel drive.

Kicking things off is the UX200 Luxury, which comes with eight airbags, a reversing camera, parking sensors, tyre-pressure monitoring and interior niceties like a 10.3-inch screen, satellite navigation, an eight-speaker stereo, and an auto-adjusting GPS clock.

Even in the base model you get a leather-trimmed steering wheel, eight-way power-adjustable (heated) front seats, an auto-dimming rear mirror, and a power-adjustable steering column.

The car rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, and gets roof running rails, LED headlamps and power-adjustable mirrors.

Two options packages will be offered on the Luxury: Enhancement Pack 1 and Enhancement Pack 2. Inventive, we know. The former ($1550) adds a hands-free power tailgate, wireless phone charging, alloy scuff plates, headlamp washers, privacy glass and cornering lights, the latter ($4050) also includes a sunroof.

Jumping to the $53,000 UX200 Sport Luxury adds 18-inch alloy wheels and run-flat tyres, leather-accented (ventilated front) seats, a 13-speaker audio system, adaptive high-beam and a surround-view monitor.

The optional $3500 Enhancement Pack augments that spec with a sunroof, head-up display and a smart key starting card.

Topping the trim grades is the UX200 F Sport, priced from $53,450 before on-road costs. It gets unique bumpers, grilles and 18-inch alloy wheels, along with sports seats, a unique steering wheel and racier pedals. It rides on a variable suspension setup, with five distinct drive modes and performance dampers at the rear.

An extra $2500 gets you a sunroof, while $5600 gives you everything from the Sport Luxury Enhancement Pack.

The base UX200 will be arriving in showrooms later this month, while the UX250h will show up early in 2019.
