Jaguar Australia has sharpened its pencil and announced pricing for the F-Pace SVR, which kicks off at $140,020 before on-road costs.
The hotted-up super-SUV, powered by a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 with 404kW and 680Nm on tap, is $36,600 more expensive than the existing F-Pace S flagship. Given it’s carrying two extra cylinders, 124kW more and the glamour of an SVR badge, that doesn’t seem like too steep an increase.
It’ll carry your family and all their luggage to 100km/h in 4.3 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 283km/h. The go-fast SUV rides on 21-inch forged wheels as standard, with 22-inch units as an option, hiding larger 395mm front and 396mm rear brake discs.
You’ll be able to tell the SVR from its regular brethren by its vented bonnet, rear spoiler, quad exhaust outlets and more aggressive air intakes up front.
If you can’t see the differences, you’ll be able to hear them, thanks to a standard adaptive exhaust system.
Under the skin, Jaguar has given the SVR 30 per cent stiffer front and 10 per cent stiffer rear springs, with unique anti-roll bars for a flatter ride in the bends. There’s also an active differential, working in tandem with the all-wheel drive system to keeps all that V8 thunder under control.
The interior is available in red and black, oyster and black, tan and black or black and oyster leather. Slimline performance bucket seats are standard, along with an SVR steering wheel and aluminium paddle shifters.
Pricing for the F-Pace SVR will kick off at $140,020 before on-road costs, and is available to order now.
